The Dream Receives Funding From Mark Zuckerberg

During a time when Donald Trump slandered illegal immigrants during his poorly executed Presidential Campaign, the illegal immigrants have received some relief. Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Facebook has made a large donation to The Dream. The Dream is an illegal immigrant charity organization designed to give an opportunity to immigrants to realize the American dream of obtaining a college education and contributing to the prosperity of our nation. The organization, founded by Don Graham, Henry Munoz lll, Carlos Gutierrez, and Amanda Bennett, will receive $5 million towards The Dream’s scholarship fund.

Some of the founding members come from prominent backgrounds. Don Graham is a former publisher of the Washington Post. Carlos Gutierrez is a former Commerce Secretary under George W. Bush, and Henry Munoz lll is the Democratic National Committee Chairman. The organization has been backed by other prominent donors as well like Bill and Melinda Gates’s Foundation and Michael Bloomberg’s organization. When The Dream first launched, it launched with $25 million in funding. For more on this story, check it out here.
